Sun boss Ishbia said in a statement: “Bringing a Development League team to Arizona has always been our top priority. Sun had previously operated a team affiliated to the development league, but Robert, the former boss of sun, sold it to the piston in 2020, making the team the only club in NBA without a team affiliated to the Development League.
