When asked whether the team would retain the core four teams of Garland, Mitchell, Mobley and Allen, Altman said: “I am planned like this. These four players all know how important they are to the team. Other teams called to ask about them. These teams are doing their own work, but we have never had a deal discussion with any team. We have no plan to break up this core lineup. This is a core team that won 51 regular season matches last season and has a lot of room for improvement. I think we will get better next.”
In the 22-23 season, the Cavaliers scored 51 wins and 31 losses, ranking 4th in the east.
