The Rockets played 113-101 Rek piston in the second game of summer league today. After the game, Rocket player Jabari Smith talked about the team’s rookie Whitmore in an interview.
“Whitmore has changed a lot, and the pace of the game has slowed down for him. He is a productive scorer, so he always wants to score. But as I told him, you can try to pass the ball first, which is the simple part. Then try to observe, when the other side helps to defend, find the right shot and the opportunity to end.” Said little Jabari.
“Whitmore’s skill is very special. He plays very hard and is still very young and explosive. I told him to play easy and let nature take its course. I think he did this.” Little Jabari continued.
When asked if the new season would be like Xia Lian, and Shen Jing would break down, little jiabari continued: “Yes, let’s wait and see. We will communicate again this summer. As I said, we should play decisively and know what we should do. This is what I am learning.”
Whitmore made 9 out of 16 shots, 3 out of 7 in 3 points, contributing 21 points, plus 2 assists, 1 rebound and 1 steal.
Little Jamari Smith played for 33 minutes in this game, with 25 shots of 13, 3 in 10 in 3 in 3 in 3, 9 in 10 in free throws, 38 points and 7 boards, 6 Help 1 break 1 cap.
