The 2023 CBA draft conference will be held in Chengdu this Saturday. As the 9th draft conference in CBA history, 71 players will run this year.
Although the CBA draft is far from comparable to NBA in terms of player standards, more than 100 young talents have entered CBA through the draft since 2015. Among the more than 100 people, there are also many players who have been selected as All Stars, rushed into the national team, and got the top salary contract of the club.

In the 2016 CBA draft, the Chinese Basketball Association finally announced a total of 34 candidates (14 more than 15 years), including 15 college players, 1 Chinese Taipei player, and 1 Hong Kong player, CBA club recommends 15 players, sports bureau recommends 1 player, and Sports Institute recommends 1 player.
Among them, there are many “World War II” players such as Cao Fang, Liu Hongbo (the first round show in 17 years) and Qiao Wenhan (the second round show in 17 years and now Shandong players), it also has the nickname “Hong Kong Duncan” and Huilong, who was chosen the following year.
In the end, a total of 8 people were selected in the draft conference in 2016. Guo Kai, who helped Peking University win CUBA’s first championship in 2014, was successfully selected as the top winner by Foshan team (now Guangzhou team).
1. [No. 1] Guo Kai Guangzhou (still playing in Guangzhou)
After the first three seasons of training, Guo Kai, who has gradually adapted to the rhythm of the League, suffered serious injuries in a match shortly after the start of the 2019-20 season, the Guangzhou team also announced that Guo Kai’s foot fascia was torn and the season was reimbursed.
However, the season was interrupted for several months due to the impact of the epidemic, which also gave Guo Kai time to recover. Guo Kai has maintained a high standard since the resumption in June 202020. he also gave himself the highest 12.1 points in his career, plus 7.3 rebounds 1.7 assists 1.4 steals 1.1 cap.
In the following season, Guo Kai, who continued his stable performance, became the first draft player in CBA history to get the top salary contract in the summer of 2021.
In the 2021-22 season, Guo Kai insisted on finishing the season with a leg injury, and also handed over an average of 11.3 points 7.9 rebounds 1.8 assists 1.3 steals 1 CAP report card. However, due to leg ligament surgery during the off-season, Guo Kai was unable to appear in the whole 2022-23 season.
During the playoffs this year, Guo Kai, who was eager to fight, revealed on his personal microblog that he had actually recovered and had invited him to fight many times. However, the coach decided to let him rest and recuperate this season for the sake of safety.

At the age of 16, he became famous as the next “Lin Shuhao”. 7. [11th order: Wang Hong] Shanxi (now in Qingdao)
Wang Hong, known as “CUBA’s first guard”, won 10 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists in the semi-finals of CUBA in 2016, and completed key 2+1 at the last moment of overtime to help Taiyuan University of Technology advance to the final.
In the final, Wang Hong once again scored 21 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals, but eventually he regretted losing to Tsinghua University. In the same year, the short defender, who was only 1 meter 82, was called up by CBA and has been playing till now relying on his positive and fierce football style.
