Wade said: “Melo, seeing your performance in the NCAA championship in 2003, you became one of my favorite players. We met in Bourbon Street in 2003, you have become my favorite person. The connection between us has been more than 20 years and has never wavered.”
“When we were young, we stood together proudly in the draft conference. We also fought together in the Olympic Games. You won several more gold medals than us, today we stand here as brothers to salute you. We will not take this moment for granted.
