Live broadcast, July 13-today, James won the ESPY Annual Excellence Award for Best Record-breaking performance.
James said in his acceptance speech: “Every time I step on the court, whether I coach my children or play by myself, I want to do my best. I did this for myself, for some of my former and present teammates, and for all the great players before me. More importantly, or most importantly, I did this for fans and fans of this sport.”
